How to make Coriander Panjiri for Janmashtami

To make offering for Lord Krishna on the auspicious day of Krishna Janmashtami or Krishna jayanthi, let us start the cooking. Firstly, we will make the Coriander Panjiri or Dhania Panjiri. Wheat flour Panjiri is not made for the offering of Lord Krishna. Let us make the Coriander Panjiri.

Switch on the flame. Add 2 to 3 teaspoons of clarified butter to it. Add a 1/2 cup of chopped lotus seeds to it. Stir and roast these on medium flame until crispy. Lotus seeds has become crispy and their color has changed too. We will keep these separately. Add a teaspoon of clarified butter in the pan. Add 6 to 7 chopped almonds to it. Add 6 to 7 chopped cashews to it.

Stir and roast these too. Now Almonds and cashews has also roasted. They have become brown. Add a 1/2 cup of grated coconut. Stir and roast it for a minute on low flame. The coconut has roasted too. Now, we will roast the coriander seeds. Add 2 tablespoons of clarified butter to it. Add ay 1/2 cup of coriander powder to it.

We have roasted the dried and solid coriander. Later on, filter it in a strainer. Roast coriander while continuously stirring it until its color changes or there is a soothing fragrance. Keep the flame on medium. After tts color has changed, there is a soothing fragrance because it has roasted. Now we are adding roasted coriander over the dry fruits itself. Because in the end, we have to mix all the ingredients. Add all the roasted ingredients in a big bowl. Add a 1/2 cup of sugar powder to it. You can use Boora instead of it too. Mix all the ingredients well. Add a 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder to it. Mix all the ingredients well. The Panjiri of Coriander Panjiri is ready to offer for Janmashtami Prasad Thali.

How to make Mawa Dessert for Janmashtami Prasad Thali

Now, we will make the dessert of Mawa. Add a teaspoon of clarified butter to a 1/2 cup of lotus seeds. Stir and roast on medium flame until crispy. As well as, we will add cashews to it. We took 7 to 8 cashews after chopping them and almonds too. Roasting dry fruits helps to enhance its taste and fragrance.

There is a soothing fragrance comes out from the dry fruits. We have roasted these for 2 minutes. To make the dessert, we took a 1/2 liter of full cream milk and let it boil. The milk has boiled. Add dry fruits to the milk. Add 2 tablespoons of Chironji to it.

Now, we will cook the milk until it reaches to the thick consistency. You can increase or decrease the quantity of dry fruits according to your taste. We will stir the dessert in intervals to avoid it from burning from the bottom. We have cooked the dessert for 10 minutes and milk has reached to its thicker consistency. Add a 1/4 cup of sugar to it. Add a 1/4 teaspoon of green cardamom powder to it. Cook it for 2 minutes until sugar dissolves in it. The Mawa dessert is now cooked and ready for Janmashtami Prasad Thali.

How to make Migi Paag | Dry fruit Paag for Janmashtami Prasad Thali | Krishna jayanthi recipes

Now, we will make the Migi Paag. Dry fruit Paag is most probably made on the auspicious day of Krishna Janmasthami. We took a cup of muskmelon seeds. Switch on the flame. Add a teaspoon of clarified butter to it. We can even roast the seeds without clarified butter. The clarified butter has heated. Add the seeds in the butter. Roast while continuously stirring them until there color changes and they expand. Keep the flame from medium to high.

The seeds have started roasting, there is a popping sound. While popping some times the seeds jump to a distance that’s why we will place a lid over the wok so that seeds bounce back to the wok, that’s why we will place a lid over the wok so that seeds bounce back to the wok. The seeds appear expanded. We will switch off the flame because seeds have roasted. 3 minutes was consumed to roast these, these roasts very quickly. After cooling it, touch it with your fingers and notice. There is a thread forming in it. Now, the sugar syrup has cooked because there is a desired thread forming in it.

Turn the flame to low and add the muskmelon seeds to it. Add a 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder to it. It has a soothing fragrance and it also helps to enhance the taste of Paag. Mix it well. We have stirred and cooked it for 1 to 2 minutes. Switch off the flame Keep on stirring it for a while so that after cooling down it coats the seeds well.

The sugar syrup has cooled down and has coated seeds well. We will let it rest for 5 minutes to set it. The Paag has partially set within 5 minutes. Let us mark the cutting areas because once it dries, it becomes slightly difficult to cut it Now, let it rest and the Paag is ready for Janmashtami Prasad Thali.

How to make Panchaamrit for Krishna Janmashtami Prasad

Now, we will make the Panchaamrit. We took a 1/2 cup of milk for it. The milk is fresh which means raw. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to it. Dissolve the sugar in it. Now, we will add a teaspoon of honey to it. Mix it and add a 1/4 cup of chopped lotus seeds to it. Add a cup of fresh curd to it.

Do not whisk the curd. This kind of texture is favorable for it. Take 8 to 10 basil leaves, break and add them. You can even mix a tablespoon of Ganga jal to it as per its availability. Our Panchaamrit is ready now for Janmashtami Prasad Thali (Krishna jayanthi recipes).

How to make Makkhan Mishri for Janmashtami Prasad

Now, we will make the Makkhan Mishri, which is the most favorite dish of lord Krishna. For it, we took 200 grams of white butter, which is unsalted. Take100 grams of sugar candy. We have to break the sugar candy into the pieces. We don’t have to make anything for it.

We have to just mix it. Mix sugar candy with white butter and the Makhan Mishri is ready for Lord Krishna’s Janmashtami Prasad Thali (Gokulashtami recipes or Krishna jayanthi recipes).
